- we christians are a people of the resurrection – of hope, consolation and joy.

HELPS & HINDRANCES TO EXPERIENCING GOD’S GOODNESS

Examining & Healing Our Images of God

The way we pray and relate to God manifest our images of Him. These images  are shaped by our childhood and family experiences as well as day-to-day  encounters. These images, in fact, also affect the way we relate not only to God  but also to others, including how we view the world and how we make decisions. An honest reflectlion on our personal images of God- and how they help or not help us.

FRIENDING THE SAINTS

Rediscovering the Spiritual Guides We So Seek in Our Lives
Part of the rich spiritual tradition of the Catholic faith is the saints. Often seen as intercessors, we run to them for help in times of need. But outside of this we  often see them as distant, removed from human realities (pains, struggles, difficulties)- too good and holy that we cannot relate to them! But the Church by presenting them to us, offeres so much more- friends and companions on the way, signposts and spiritual guides who have struggled to be truly human! Truly a great cloud of witnesses. Discover what they have to offer!

THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY

What Mary’s Magnificat Means to You & Me Today
In singing the Magnificat Mary gives us an example of how in our ordinariness,
lowliness and powerlessness we can let the Lord’s light and goodness shine in
our lives. Mary as model of faithfulness, obedience and loving surrender to God can also be highlighted. Input also tackles the many inner tensions along the way: attachments and detachments, attractions and distractions, etc.
