We believe in telling stories, especially stories of our GREAT GOD. This year through the photo gallery competition, we just aim to do that. We have assigned themes for different areas for our photo gallery competition. The goal is to capture and create a story by taking different pictures of SFCs in your area that will allow the theme assigned to you to come out.

The photos you have captured will be showcased in 8 ft by 4ft panel boards with the theme or title written in 0.75 ft by 2.5ft title boxes. The theme or title will be written by the conference artists already.

Photo Specifications:
- Original from your Area (not taken from the CFC/SFC Website, unless you are the
photographer who took it
- Any size is accepted
- Post processing is allowed
- Photo printing will be taken cared of by the area
- Laminate your photos to avoid being destroyed by the change in climate (rain or
intense heat of the sun)
- Any camera can be used to take the photos

What will be provided by the Competitions Committee?
The competitions committee will only provide the panel boards. The paste/glue/thumb tacks
or whatever will be used to put the photos will have to come from the area.

When does the photo gallery have to be ready to be showcased?
The photo gallery will be showcased from 17 February 2012, Friday, 1PM until the end of the
Conference. We hope that all the areas can have their photo galleries ready by that time.

Can we provide a written explanation of the gallery?
NO. Explanations and captions are not allowed. In the photo galleries, we will have to allow
the pictures to speak for themselves.

What do we need to submit and when do we need to submit them?

As we open this ICON to non SFCs and go all out in proclaiming the greatness of the Lord, we also excite everyone as they promote the ICON.
The ICON Promotional Video Competition invites all of us to promote the ICON by making videos that will allow everyone to be excited to attend the ICON.

SFC is the future generation of Couples for Christ. Through the Young CFC Video, we wish to tell all stories of love of and the Lord’s greatness in the lives of former SFCs who are now CFCs. We seek inspire SFCs and non SFCs to be excited about SFC by allowing them to hear to stories of SFCs who are now very much act ive in CFC.

As we proclaim the greatness of the Lord this ICON, we also go all out in advertising CFC Singles for Christ. We invite all of you in participating in the SFC Advertisement Competition in two forms – TV and Radio.
The main thing that has to be answered by the Advertisement is WHAT IS SINGLES for CHRIST. The feel of the advertisement after it has been watched or heard should be NOW, I WANT TO JOIN SINGLES for CHRIST.

S O N G W R I T I N G 

I. DYNAMICS
1. The competition is open to all SFC Members.
2. The content of the song shall concentrate on Praise and Worship. They can choose between these categories: FAST and/or SLOW
3. Each song must not exceed 3 minutes playing time.
4. Lyrics should not contain vulgar and rude words. Violation for this guideline will result to disqualification.
5. Music should be wholesome and could well represent the culture of SFC.
6. The goal of this competition is to develop our own brand of music for SFC through original compositions. Thus, all entries should be completely original (from lyrics to music to interpretation), otherwise, they’ll be automatically disqualified.
7. Entries will be pre-screened. There will be 3 winners for this competition: Best Lyrics, Best Music, Best Interpretation and SFC’s Choice for both categories.
8. Participating sectors shall submit in a long brown envelope the following: audio recording of the song (in CD), hard copy of the lyrics and chords, and details as to who wrote the lyrics and arranged the music.
9. Should there be areas which would want to participate but could not come to the center, online submissions are allowed. In this case, deliverables must be in one compressed folder named as the area.

A lot of artists (especially musicians) have been discovered through Youtube. This ICON we seek to put that talent to proclaim the greatness of the Lord by honoring and showcasing the talents of our SFC Youtube Artists.
We will be looking for the best Youtube Artists based on three categories: COVER ARTIST of a CHRISTIAN SONG, COVER ARTIST of a SECULAR SONG, ARTIST (with ORIGINAL COMPOSITION).
Both for the Cover and Original, Lyrics of the song should not contain vulgar and rude words. Violation for this guideline will result to disqualification. Music should be wholesome and could well represent the culture of SFC.

As we proclaim the greatness of the Lord this year, we also seek to bring in a different kind of media that can be made available for everyone. This is why we challenge all of you in the YOUTUBE SHOW Competition – to create our own shows and use these shows to allow everyone to experience Christ.

(VOCATION | LIVELIHOOD | LEADERSHIP)

RULES

To be eligible, one must be an OFFICIAL DELEGATE of the 19th SFC International Conference. The competition is open to all SFC members and CFCs serving in SFC.
There are three categories of Short Films to choose from:
1. VOCATION
2. LIVELIHOOD
3. LEADERSHIP

Each entry must realize in its content the following goals of SFC:
1. To create media that will aid evangelization and lead us closer to the vision of every single man and woman all over the world experiencing Christ
2. To highlight and share stories of VOCATION, LIVELIHOOD and LEADERSHIP
3. To inform and inspire SFCs and other single men and women about vocation, livelihood and leadership

Content guidelines:
• Films must be centered on core messages
• Films must be suitable for all audiences (SFCs and non SFCs)
• Make your message persuasive and credible
• There are no restrictions on the art form of your film. Live action, animation, still photography or any combination are welcome. Be as creative as you want.

Formats:
• Your entry must be transferred online and/or DVD format.
• Label entry with film title, filmmaker’s name and filmmaker’s e-mail
• A clean copy of the original music
• You have to provide original movie files for judging.
• Entrants may submit multiple entries as you wish. Each entry requires a separate DVD tape, and entry form.
• A duly completed application form for each entry, if several entries are entered by you.
• A brief resume /biodata and two (2) recent 2×2 photos of the filmmaker{s}
• Synopsis in English or if other language (include English subtitles)
• Major credit tiles
• For joint directorial efforts, the filmmakers must assign a single representative to act on their behalf. All official communications shall be addressed to the representative.
Technical guidelines (in addition to the mandatory Rules):
• Final productions should be at least 5 minutes in length, with music extending 10m seconds past the end of the film. Films will have 5-10 second tags added to brand them to the contest.
• Be sure to include 30-60 seconds of black leader prior to the start of your film and after the end of your film.
• Please send to SFC ICON Competitions Committee the clean copy of the original audio source as well as indicating the location within the song from which you collected the samples.
• Dialogue should be primarily in English but may include other languages as appropriate, with English subtitles

Final Entry Deadline: 
All submissions are due on or before 12MN on JANUARY 27, 2012. None will be accepted after this date.
The decision of the Board of Judges is final. The Board reserves the right not to give any award should no entry merit it.

Short films that are submitted must be the entrant’s original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permissions regarding
music, sound and/or images presented in their short film. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees that the SFC ICON Competitions Committee will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by them or their short film. SFC ICON Competitions Committee reserves the right to not screen any film(s) for any reason it deems valid
Entry materials (DVD’s) submitted will not be returned to the entrant.
Clearances:
• Even though you will dedicate your work to the public domain, it is essential that all related clearances and permissions be obtained prior to submission.
• Forms and a checklist are provided for inclusion with your submission, and you will warrant that you have obtained all applicable clearances. In particular, filmmaker/s must provide signed release forms for all on-camera talent and voiceovers. They must have a release for any and all persons whose recognizable likeness appears in your film, and for all other copyrighted works used in your film (including still images, music or musical competitions).
